Philosophy
I’ve used my experience as a registered dietitian from Ichilov Hospital, Meuhedet Health Services and Private Clinic, along with my personal dieting experience to develop my own therapeutic approach to fighting obesity and its related diseases.
I believe that the milestones of a winning diet are:
-
The will to make a change.
-
Understanding the logic behind the diet plan.
-
Adjusting the diet to personal eating preferences and lifestyle (too drastic a change will result in the abandonment of the diet as soon as the willpower runs out).
-
Dealing with emotional eating.
-
Integrating physical activity (if possible).
-
Having a good interaction with your dietitian and her approach.
The world of nutrition is a wide and fascinating world and I consider myself lucky for having the opportunity to help people in so many different aspects.
THE MILESTONES OF A WINNING DIET
I was first drawn to the field of Gastroenterology (digestive system) while working with Prof Nadir Arber at Ichilov Hospital, and ever since I’ve made it my goal to help relieve people’s gastrointestinal symptoms. Due to the strong Body-Soul connection, I’ve enhanced my therapeutic tool box in the Field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Biofeedback, whose training I’ve completed in Bar Ilan University. My Field of expertise is Irritable Bowel and other Gastrointestinal disease and conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s and Colitis), celiac disease, diarrhea, constipation, gas and bloating, heartburn, reflux, stoma and other GI-related operations.
My work with obese and GI patients led me to specialize in the field of Bariatric Surgery. Surgeries such as Gastric Banding, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass and Mini Gastric Bypass often result in emotional difficulties as well as gastrointestinal ones which require unique attention.
Diabetes is another field I specialize in and in which I competed further education in Tel Aviv University. I also work as part of a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and social workers which gave me a wider understanding of the disease, its medical treatment, blood glucose monitoring devices and exposure to many different cases including Gestational Diabetes.
I’ll be glad to assist you in finding a compatible diet which will improve your quality of life, whether through weight loss/gain, gastrointestinal problems, diabetes, high cholesterol and triglycerides, high blood pressure, fatty liver, gout, kidney stones, vegetarian or vegan diet, pregnancy and breastfeeding, osteoporosis or any other nutrition related issues.
